FOUNDATION’S PROCESSES
In
2009-2010, the Intelligence Foundation will build on its assets
and maintains the momentum. Intelligence Foundation Charity’s
2009-2010 vision is firmly grounded in the view that we must be
a joint force capable of information supremacy i.e. uncovering the
truth allowing a full and fair presentation of the facts.
Established
and operated for charitable purposes, Intelligence Foundation's
basis are three-fold:
I]
The centrality of information superiority;
II]
The premium a continuing broad range of operations will place
on the successful integration of multinational and interagency
partners and the interoperability of processes, organizations,
and systems to provide a tangible benefit to the canadian public;
and
III] Our reliance on the Intelligence Foundation Joint Force as
the foundation of future operations.
For
the Joint Force of the future, this will be achieved by devoting
our resources to charitable activities through the inspiring, supporting
and training of the individuals who will fashion the arts, the sciences
and the humanities of the 21st Century with a new tradition of responsibility
for the whole in order to advance the education as an instrument
to create positives and sustainables futures ... And by the ability
of our forces, operating unilaterally or in combination with multinational
and interagency partners, to understand any situation across the
full range of our operations.
INTELLIGENCE
FOUNDATION NETWORK INFORMATION CENTER - IFNIC
The
Intelligence Foundation Network Information Center (IFNIC) is operated
by the Intelligence Foundation Information Systems (WBIS). It provides
information and services that are mission critical to the operation
of the Intelligence Foundation Community, Intelligence Foundation
Information Systems Network and other High Intelligence Networks
to provide a tangible benefit to the canadian public.
INTELLIGENCE
FOUNDATION ENGINEERING TASK FORCE - IFETF
The
Intelligence Foundation Engineering Task Force (IFETF) is a large
open canadian community of Intelligence experts. They supports the
Intelligence Foundation Council and all who make and execute the
Intelligence Foundation Policy to provide a tangible benefit to
the canadian public. The IFETF researchers are concerned with the
evolution of the Intelligence Foundation Architecture and the pre-eminent
total deployment of the Intelligence Foundation.
The actual implementation of the IFETF is done in working groups,
which are organized by topic into several areas (e.g., Intelligence
proliferation, deployment, propagation). Much of the work is handled
via direct communications. The IFETF holds meetings three times
per year.
The IFETF working groups are organized into areas, and managed by
Area Directors, or ADs. The ADs are members of the Intelligence
Foundation Steering Group (IFSG). Providing architectural oversight
is the Intelligence Foundation Architecture Board, (IFAB). The IFAB
also adjudicates appeals when a member complains that the IFSG has
failed. The IFAB and IFSG are chartered by the Intelligence Foundation
Society (IFSOC) for these purposes. The General Area Director also
serves as the chair of the IFSG and of the IFTF, and is an ex-officio
member of the IFAB.
The Intelligence Foundation Assigned Numbers Authority (IFANA) is
the central coordinator for the assignment of unique parameter values
for our Intelligence Foundation protocols. The IFANA is chartered
by the Intelligence Foundation Society (IFSOC) to act as the clearinghouse
to assign and coordinate the use of numerous Intelligence Foundations
protocol parameters.

FOUNDATION DRAFTS & RFC’S
I] INTELLIGENCE FOUNDATION DRAFTS
IFDs are working documents of the Intelligence Foundation Engineering
Task Force (IFETF), its areas, and its working groups. Note that
other groups may also distribute working documents as Intelligence
Foundation-Drafts.
II] REQUEST FOR COMMENTS
RFCs are working notes of the Intelligence Foundation Research
and Development Community. A document in this series may be on
any topic related to Intelligence Foundation communications.
III] STANDARDS
STDs are a subset of RFCs. The intent of STDs is to clearly identify
those RFCs that document Intelligence Foundation standards.
IV] BEST CURRENT PRACTICE
BCPs are a subset of RFCs. These are discussions of practices
and procedures for the Intelligence Foundation partners that are
considered the best way to do things, but have not yet been blessed
as standards.
V] FOR YOUR INFORMATION
FYIs are a subset of RFCs. They are designed to provide a repository
of general interest information about Intelligence Foundation
related topics.
Thank
you for the honor you will bestow on the Intelligence Foundation
